SUNDAY, AUGUST 5 AT 9:30AM
SPIRITUAL? RELIGIOUS? WHO CARES?
WITH REV. BEV WARING
SAFARI SUNDAYS are a series of services in collaboration with the Unitarian Universalists of the Boroughs and the Blackstone, where we travel to fellow congregations as a UU adventure!
On Sunday, August 5, all are invited to worship at the Unitarian Universalist Congregational Society of Westborough with Rev. Bev Waring.
ABOUT THE SERVICE
We have all heard it said; maybe even said it ourselves, “I am spiritual but not religious.” Numerous studies speak about the “NONES,” a rapidly growing group of adults mostly under the age of 30 with no “church” affiliation. But what are we really saying? Is this the beginning of the end of religion, of Unitarian Universalism in the United States? What does it mean in our lives, in the lives of our congregations, and to the world? What are we teaching our children? Come Sunday and join in this important conversation.
Rev. Bev Waring is the Minister of the Unitarian Universalist Congregational Society of Westborough. Prior to her call to Westborough in May of 2015 she has served as an interim minister in Massachusetts and New York. Originally from a suburb of Buffalo New York, Rev Bev has had prior careers as a software engineer and a social worker.
PLEASE NOTE — Summer Services in Westborough start at 9:30am with coffee and a light snack and the service itself begins at 9:45am. This is an hour earlier than our “regular” church year start time. Also, we have arranged child care with two youth group members for every summer service (not a program just child care) but children of any age are always welcome to stay with parents.
The Unitarian Universalist Congregational Society of Westborough is located at 64 West Main Street (between School and Ruggles Street) in Westborough, MA.
